Will You make The Stand?

I get confused about the media and songs these days. The people that get payed the most are rappers that rap about drug deals, sex, getting drunk, taking advantage of girls that are drunk… all that crud that the music media is trying to get in our heads these days, what on earth??? How come they don’t get sent to jail for singing about sick things like this?? NOT ONLY do they NOT get sent to jail, but they get paid the big bucks, people make them their idols!!! How come the people that are acting in the media and produce movies that talk about things such as these and don’t get sent to jail? What MTV shows on television, things that are said on there, things that are done DO have a BIG influence on those that watch it!

One big thing that media makes teens think is “okay” or even “COOL to do” is sex before marriage. It’s “fun”, I like him/her, she/he is cute/hott. As long as it’s “safe” and I don’t get pregnant, or I don’t get her pregnant right? That’s what they’re feeding into our bodies, things that go AGAINST the rules and principles that God had SET before the beginning of time. They’re RUINING our generation, and it is up to US to make the difference!!!!

Sure, it talks about what reality is like, but man, they keep feeding these things to us. As Christians, we watch it, because everyone else watches it. Because it has a good story line. We do NOT realize how it slowly seeps into our heads. Satan has his ways of making us think certain things. Do we realize and look into what it’s teaching people our age these days? Do we look at what’s being subconsciously fed into our minds? NO, we don’t! We can’t be a reed that sways in the wind, we, as Christians, can’t be swayed around like a little plant in the wind when we see or hear something popular, ESPECIALLY if it’s against what we believe… We’re into this mindset that’s kinda like, well, everyone else is doing it so it must be okay. It’s not that big of a deal, it’s JUST TV, it’s JUST MUSIC. JUST TV is WRONG! JUST MUSIC is WRONG! People UNDERESTIMATE the influence of the media on themselves.

I will be honest with you. MTV has had a BIG PART of what I think now, what I think is okay. When IT ISN’T. I am a victim in all of this. But I am standing, and I am battling, and God WILL make me VICTORIOUS and free me from all this CRUD that the media has put into my mind. All the secular things that are a part of what mold me today. It molds the way I think, the things I say, the things that I think are acceptable. So don’t tell me media doesn’t influence the way you think, and what you do. IT HAS A HUGE PART.

We have to STAND STRONG IN OUR FAITH! STAND OUT among the crowd! STAND UP for what we believe in! Who cares about what others think about us? God gave us a voice! WHAT are we using it for?? ARE WE USING IT FOR HIM? ARE WE USING IT FOR HIS GLORY? OR ARE WE JUST TALKING AND WASTING OUR VOICE???

WHAT are we using the TALENTS that He gave us for? Are we using THOSE for Him? OR are we turning people OFF to Christianity with what we say, with our actions, with what we do, with the kinds of people we follow instead of lead, with how easily we are pressured into doing something, with how easily the media can sway us into thinking something. Am I making sense or am I just blabbering?

WILL YOU STAND FOR what the media puts in the minds of YOUR generation??? WILL YOU STAND FOR THAT??? WILL YOU LET THIS GENERATION ROT AWAY, WHILE YOU STAND THERE WATCHING IT HAPPEN, INSTEAD OF BEING THAT ONE VOICE THAT CAN CHANGE IT??? Don’t think one voice can’t be a difference. Many people may tell you, “Oh, you’re just another voice. You won’t be able to do much.” But WHAT IF, the people that are told that they’re just “another voice” DO stand up irregardless of what they’ve been told, what if ALL OF THOSE “just another voices” stood up. You’d have a lot of them wouldn’t you? YEAH! Therefore, You wouldn’t JUST BE another voice. You’d be ONE IN MANY, which THEREFORE, COULD BRING CHANGE!!!

WE HAVE A CHANCE TO INFLUENCE THE MEDIA. Even if it’s just ONE, there are many people that are willing to be that one, so You won’t be the only one. If you make that move in faith, God will use it! He will use it for His glory!!! The person who speaks the loudest wins!!

So I will ask once again.

Will You make THE STAND? The stand that could change the world.

My Spring Break – I met someone famous!!!

My Spring Break is over, because I’m back in San Antonio. Mmm, such fun. I signed my lease for The Reserve for next school year. I’m so excited because it’s new and cheap. HURRAH!!! So this Spring Break, what did you do? You wanna know what I did?

 

I met someone famous!!!! =) His name is… JESUS!!!! I received a new revelation on the Power of the Cross. I learned more about Praise & Worship. I learned how to choose band members, and how to choose songs, submitting to authority, and I witnessed miracles. This conference was called “Inside Out”, and my Spirit was stirred and I was surely turned inside-out. I shall share with you some of my experiences.

 

Night 1:

The first night, it was an introduction to 5 Bread & 2 Fish. A group from Vancouver, Canada. They talked about how secular things were a hindrance to youth. Many people nowadays seek for the things of this world, let me tell ya something. It’s temporary. All the materialistic things, all the money you earn, the titles you earn, the degrees you earn, the big house you buy, the nice car you have, it’s all temporary. Those are the things that measure your success. But those things will fade away.

In the Bible it says “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” Matthew 24:35, Luke 21:33, Mark 13:31

Think about what’s more important, the things of this world, the way people see us, the things that we hold dear, the “success” we have on this earth, how rich we are, OR what we do for our Lord? What is more important? One of the pastors said “Life is not about success, it’s about significance.” WHAT you do during this lifetime, if you use it wisely, or if you just sit around and throw your life to waste. We should live for Jesus, and in the end, that’s where the REAL success is. Getting to Heaven, living your life to the fullest, to when you get to Heaven, and Jesus asks you what you did, you will have NO REGRETS, because you will know that you gave Him your all. Humble yourselves before our Heavenly Father, do not be prideful, for the Least is the Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

“Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:4

These are the 3 steps to knowing God:

1. Listen
2. Experience God
3. Testify

Many people stop at the 2nd step. Why? Because they’re scared. Jesus says, Don’t be afraid, I am among you, what do you have to be afraid of? We are in the end times, there are many people that will be willing to accept Jesus Christ. Then you ask, then what’s the problem? The problem is, people are too scared to go out and tell them about it!!!! The Power is there already, the thing that determines the activation of power is US taking that step.

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18

“The Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore GO and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And SURELY I am with you always, to the very end of the age.‘ ” Matthew 28: 18-20

He promises that He will be with us ALWAYS, till’ the VERY END OF THE AGE. WHAT are we still waiting for??

The cross needs to be in our hearts. Not just there. Many people see the cross and they see it around so much, it doesn’t mean anything to them anymore. We know the whole story, and it’s just like, oh okay, it’s there, it’s holy, yeah, okay. The cross, I get it. I know, I was there once, before this conference. I read about the Cross, and I understood it, it was like, I was immune to all that went with it. I was immune to the PASSION that was involved in the whole process. The PAIN that was involved in the whole process. I prayed this prayer: “Lord, I want to experience your cross once again, I want a fresh revelation”. My eyes were soon to be opened.
I will stop here but I will made another entry another time. =) I SHALL FINISH what I learned at this conference. The best is YET to come!

Hello blog-world. I’m new to this so please cut me some slack.

My name is Kristina, and I love God, so I’m guessing these next couple posts should either be “inspirational” or dorky. Hence the quotes. =D

I don’t exactly know what to say… because I wrote a lot in the “About Me” section. So if you wanna know about me, there’s a schlew of things about me, you can go read that. =)

So like, I’m guessing over the next few blogs, I shall talk about my daily life, or whenever it is I get a chance to update, or when something aMMMMMMazing happens, and maybe be able to challenge some of you guys to become more intimate and draw into a deeper knowledge of Him as time comes and goes and RUN after Him as if You were running a marathon! Keep persevering!!!

I would just say to live your life for God with no regrets, thinking about if He were to take you away to be with Him, if you would be standing in front of the door, and have Him say “Well done, my good and faithful servant!”

We need to realize the finality of this time. We are in the end-times, so we need to get ready and continue to prepare ourselves. If you haven’t started preparing yourself, start now!! Don’t waste another minute!! But not only do we need to prepare and spend time with our Lover, we need to GO and make disciples and tell the whole world that Jesus LIVES!!! It’d be selfish to just keep it to ourselves doncha think? YEP!

So I do hope my posts are worth reading, and nothing short of encouraging and motivating. I hope that they motivate you to want to do better. =) Sometimes, I read back on my prayer journal entries and I see how I’ve grown, and it encourages me and pushes me to grow more in Christ. It’s awesome!

I think that should be all that I want to say today. I have to get back to my readings … or more like start them.
